I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA AND AM WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS WHO CAN LOOK AT MY MECHANICAL ISSUES OF MY 69 SKYLARK TOP? WHEN I PULL THE ACCESSORY SWITCH LEFT OR RIGHT, ALL I HEAR IS A BRRRRRR...SOUNDS LIKE THE TOP'S MOTOR. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I SHOULD LOOK AT OR TRY TO REPLACE? ANY INFO WILL BE APPRECIATED!
Did you check under and behind the back seats for a hydraulic fluid leaks? Is fluid in the reservoir? If the anwer is yes to those two is yes check the top for freedom of movement and if free bleed the lines for air.
As Jim said, I'd check the fluid level first. That's your most likely culprit, although it could be other things. The fluid should be within 1/4" of the bottom of the filler plug hole. If you need to bleed the lines for air, the procedure was outlined on this board just a few days ago. Do a "search" and you'll find it. Good luck!
Mexicoya- I asked where Hercules was because you asked if anybody could look at your engine issue..i know a guy here that could help you but we're in LA sorry....
