   Is any advice on timing my 300 it sounds like something is one off somewhere if that makes any sense

   Check/adjust point dwell first, then, check timing at idle. Should be 2-3* BTDC. Original distributor should be #1111055. If the distributor is not original, check and set the total timing to 32*.

   Your a genies! my guy just came in and told me he hadn't set the dwell and when he did it settled down and is fine now. thanks i really appreciate the advise!

   Dwell affects timing. Always set Dwell first. Glad I solved your problem. Genius? No, Wizard? Maybe.
