Anyone on V8 Buick have experience installing a TKO 500 or TKO 600 in a '68-72 GM A-body?
Any feedback from those who have bought from KeislerAuto?

Am trying to get some pics of how typical TKO tailhousing differ's from Keisler's tailhousing. Have a zip file of what a friend did to get a regular TKO to fit in a '70 GTO, but we are not willing to cut the tunnel up that much :(

Hi, I swapped in a tko 600 into my 70 Skylark. It was very intrusive, I had to cut alot. I got my trans from d&d performance. They had the best price. I wouldn't use keisler only because all of the mods needed to put the trans in the car are minor. I believe they give you a new crossmember and driveshaft... but a new crossmember isn't needed. Go to a local driveshaft shop to have one custom made.

I had to cut a huge hole in my beautiful floors. That was no fun... i don't know if I would do it again to another car. Otherwise, the trans shifts good and the overdrive is great. I was having a problem with fluid coming out the speedo gear adapter, but i think it was because the rear of the car was level and sagged under acceleration and the fluid would go to the back of the tranny. I put some different shocks on it and a slightly bigger tire and hopefully i solved that problem. I'll find out in the spring.
