Hey guys, Im replacing my center link and both inner/outer tie rods. (NAPA chassis premium which seems to be made well. ?? ). the inner tie rods came with what looks like a nylon locknut. is this OK? im used to castle nuts/cotter pins of the old days and have never used these before so it kinda worried me. Maybe im not up to date here lol but if they are fine to use, would the torque specs be the same as using a castle nut? (found in my factory service manual)

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

    35 ft lbs.

    It will be fine.
We held USAF aircraft together with nylok nuts.

We also used "snot" (green torque seal ) on fasteners in some assemblies to be able to visually check for loosening fasteners/nuts, etc. A line of paint on the flat of the nut and the threads and you can eyeball it whenever you think about it.
