I had a 1000 CFM thormoquad on my 71, it did not have a choke so it was a cold start, but once it got warmed up it was great. It was put on the car because we wanted as much flow as possible through the aftermarket manifold (edelbrock ?) & highflow polished Stage 1 heads. I also used a non stock High flow air cleaner. The carb worked great, and the motor performed flawlessly. The carb was built by Jeff Donohue in Red Granite Wisconsin, not sure if he is a board member.

Too bad I sold the car, it was a sweet modified GS Convert Clone:TU: The car is now in Austrailia so I guess we have lost it for a reference.

"??? Top has to come off the Qjet too for all jet changes! The qjet doesn't even have removeable secondary jets."

We set up the primary side of the q-jet exactly for the engines requirements, then leave it alone.

All full throttle tuning is done by changing the secondary metering rods, which can be done in less time than it took to type this.:) ....Cliff
