Has anyone made a comparison between the Yukon Posi differential unit versus the Eaton Posi Unit, and which do you like more? I understand that the Yukon is priced less than the Eaton. Thanks,Jay B.Britt,Jr.

I have recently had the Yukon installed in my GS. The local shop that did the work told me that they have sold tons of them with no problems. He said that the units are identical, and that the intermal parts will interchange. He said he also heard that Eaton has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Yukon for just this reason. I have not tried to verify any of this info, but I can tell you that the Yukon works fine on the street and strip on my GS, albeit a pretty slow one right now (13s).

Ok I am a Yukon dealer and From what I heard Randy went to Eaton's head guys and told them what he was going to do. There WAS NOT a patent pending at that time so he told them he was going to straight out copy the case. Heads of Eaton just looked at him and shrugged there sholders and said SO. Now that he did it he is probably really cutting into there eaton posi profit. esspecially since they bought detroit locker too and probably still trying to recoupe from that buy out. I bought the Yukon Posi dura grip when everyone else was unsure and called it a cheap knock off. I bought one tore it down and checked it out. The casting is a little less polished but seems to be cast well and machined surfaced are good too.

That is what we need in this country a bit more competition. Now if we could do that with the price of GAS we would be all set

Eaton raised their EATON brand performance posi unit 3 times in one year. I remember it almost put me right out of the biz. I was scrabbling to just get the little business going and was almost sunk before i even got out off the dock...lol.

Yukon gear sets are very nice to set-up too. They pattern up very well .

Will see who is really telling the truth and of course whp has the best lawyers :blast: :spank:

Hope to see some of you in Norwalk friday and I will bring a kukon posi with me so you guys can look at it up close. I am trying for friday evening. Just been so busy that is the only time I can get away.

Take care on the trip next week, Jim - J D Race

Is the Yukon rear available for my 70 Wildcat 455? I have the (Eaton) G80 in my new truck and it is awesome.
