Now that you mention it Dave... he probably does break more stuff than he fixes! Can't wait to see the GS rippin' through the gears next September!
They even wrote songs about the "man pedal" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oH13VoVGXvU&feature=related
4 on the floor.........that was one of the rules in the UM dorm system when they first allowed girls to come to the men's dorms and vice versa. You'll laugh at me if I tell you what year that was........:3gears:
Close.....1965....In 1961, you could be expelled from school for participating in a panty raid on a girls dorm. They had these little dorks running around snapping pictures of who was participating. The whole world changed in Nov, 1963......not for the better
and Ken is now #2 and Jim is #3 ... Thomas Payne rocketed to #3 on the small motor chart ... full updates as soon as the results are available :Comp:
If he runs as good as he did Thursday he will!:TU: I see Rhonda movin up the small block list herself !:Brow: :Brow:
Hey, I wanna' be on top of a list too! So where are the "Also ran..." and/or "By-run..." lists? Check that, on second thought, maybe I can do without the additional notoriety.:idea2:
Man Pedal - O.K. - I got the scattershield housing on, but didn't have the paint to match it to the engine. Rats. I took a whole week off of work last week and because my Dad is retired, slow - but very methodical - my engine isn't in yet. Of course, when you have a bunch of stuff out, you fix or replace: Gear oil - gears looked O.K. for 135K. Pinion seal - boy, was that fun. The leaking one we think was original - we used two different pullers (first a big one, then a smaller one) to ge it off. Rear seal in trans. Trans was opened - looked good. Pressure washed (and washed, and washed) engine bay - then attempted to paint. No where near a Glasgo (awesome - perfect) job but better than it was. Added quick connect starter harness. Replaced front air dam. Lost (my fault) the engine mounts. One Pontiac friend had the LH but the RH wasn't even shown in NAPA's books. Ordered the LH one for the right as bolt spacing was the same. Grinding required on mount as manifold hit it without lining up - more time! Billet steel SFI flywheel, grade 8 bolts, Centerforce DFX SFI clutch, Lakewood bellhousing, adjustable pivot ball, new clutch fork, new throwout bearing, new HD u-joints (another fun job), several trips to NAPA and Ace Hardware for various fasteners. O.K. - so I did do some work on this Man Pedal ride. The engine goes in on Saturday. Most worred about clutch linkage and just getting it all to work. I'm making Stanton if I have to push the car down the track. Sorry for the rant - needed to vent.
