Hi there! Excited to be here, and excited to learn. I have a 68 Skylark Custom 350. I bought it off my father in law who had it sitting for the past year or so. I’m in the process of restoring the engine components, but the cam valves and bulk of the stuff in the block was recently rebuilt. He doesn’t know much, and said it has a new mild cam, and he spent a good amount of money having a shop rebuild the engine and add a gear (3 speed). It has an Edelbrock 1406, and aluminum intake manifold. I just rebuilt the carb, and in the process of changing out the radiator, thermostat, water pump, alternator, adding an electronic distributor, and a few other odds and ends. I’ll post some photos as I go. Thanks in advance for the future help, I’m sure I’ll need a lot of it!! I paid about 3K for the car, he’s a body/paint guy, so he is going to repaint it for me once I get the motor finished.
Welcome to v8Buick and the Stepchild Nation! Looks like a good start! It’s funny how many ‘68s are power steering but manual brakes. Patrick
Save that Stepchild. Good for you, picking a Buick over the Bellie-Button cars...and Welcome from Suthern NewHampsha.....JIM
