It shifts as many gears as you have. The solenoid pulls the shift lever back, releases fwd and then back for the next shift. As many times as you hit the shift point set on the controller . Maybe I got an in car vid on youtube. Yep, Its 5 yrs old but ya can see the shift 2x's. The black box on the "glove box door" is my controller but you can do the same thing with a simple chip.
Nice I always though the electric shift solenoid once you pulled it back to arm it then when power is cut it spring forward but wouldn't shift again till rearmed.....
