Hi I have a 69 Skylark with a 350 and a th400 trans. There is no dust cover on it right now and am looking to put one on. Are these covers specific for a Buick or could I use any one that is for a Chevy. I know the starter hole is correct (Pass. side) and is the shape of the cover at the block end specific....If you know what I mean? Thanx
This looks like a pretty good deal, https://www.kmjperformance.com/i-31...lywheel-cover-gm-th350-th400-dust-shield.html https://www.jegs.com/c/Transmission-Drivetrain_Flexplate-Inspection-Covers/11607/10002/-1
Thanx for the links... So the half circle cut out on the block side of the covers will work for a Buick 350? My confusion is the ones I have seen have a high/low cut where the half circle is.... And a lot of these deals are great until they add shipping. I live in Southern Ontario, Canada
It's transmission specific, not engine specific. Buicks need the cutout on the passenger side, that's the only variable.
Thats what i figured, but i needed to ask the experts....I do have someone local that has a couple of used ones i can get for a decent price. Thanx again
Twood, I have one for a th400, I'm in Wasaga Beach Ontario. Let me know if the local ones dont work out and if you're interested.
