Just installed this to use with a Quadrajet swap (old car had electric choke) on my 350. Haven't started it ye...The TA part 1247 does not come with a choke rod (website says use old rod with modification) so I pulled the choke rod from a 455 choke/heat stove and installed it. Everything seems to line up except the rod it's touching the cover to the TA piece and once the spring starts to expand it seems like it will get caught up on the cover... has anyone used this piece and what modification do you recommend? bending the choke rod a bit so it doesn't touch the cover or modify the cover so the rod doesn't touch it?... I don't know how it will react when it gets warm as still hooking up the carb so don't want to mess it up.. thanks Oh and anyone know what size of a part number for the little clip on the back side of the choke linkage that holds the choke rod in and from pulling out of the actual choke linkage? Thanks
