I had trailer tire issues every time I went out. It got to be a real PITA. Nearly new 6 ply tires like that one would split for no reason. After losing 2 on the way home from BG last yr I purchase a new set of 8 plys and have not lost one since. Knocking on wood.

Had a great time this weekend, saw old friends, made new friends AND got to drive two Mopars! Thanks to Bruce Chargo for trusting me with his beautiful 6 pack Cuda and Mr Jim Keyes for allowing me to drive his Hemi! What a rush! Buick guys aren’t used to 7500 rpms!

I think that this is what's referred to as a "China bomb" tire. :) It sounded like a 12 gauge shotgun when it blew. Fortunately I got onto the shoulder safely. Going to try the Goodyear Endurance trailer tires.

Glad you were able to get off the road. It can be a scary place to be. Very cool Rusty stopped to help you out, he is a class act.
cjfordman, that was a sudden evacuation of air for sure. Too bad you couldnt get your car finished in time, we will be looking for you to be back next year.

Bruce and Jim are both great people. 7500 rpm, just listen to that hemi sing her song!
The wife and I made it home safe. Thanks to Joe Shepard for the loaner car. I think the wife had more fun than I did. She is hooked on racing now.....this is going to get expensive in a hurry.

Only go 68 max when towing. Thats the sweet spot for the best mileage in my rig. Its cheap tires.

The Goodyear Endurance Trailer tires are speed rated for 87 mph. The 225/75/15 tires on my trailer have had about 10,000 miles since last summer.... no problems yet!!!

    Made in the USA!!!
