I've read it's higher than 30...need to confirm, though. If so I'd not use it for break-in, that's for sure! Devon
Here's an article in the GSExtra. The high flow bypass maintains maximum efficiency to 5 microns until activation. I guess that means 5 microns.
Is the System 1 considered to be a full-flow filter? It's hard for me to envision a 5 micron rating for a full-flow. Bypass design, no problem. Devon
Jeff, I just ordered a Peterson,I was just looking for comparison sake to my System One. I needed to get rid of the remote mount and S1 filter for space.
I may have some specs at home on the System One filter. I will check later for the micron rating. I also have a scavenger system with a check valve. First valve broke and I lost the prime to the pump. That valve was 2 months old. Replaced it with a new valve, same manufacture, and the damn thing did it again. Made three runs this time. I think Gary Kubisch once told me he used a loop instead of a valve. I have to do something different this time but not sure there is room to make a loop in my car. Its a 73 regal and the steering linkage is in the way. Perry what did you do? Gary if you are the one who told me about the loop can you post a picture. Dont mean to hijack the thread.
Thanks Jeff, Your almost like having a second wife. I heard you the first time Gary, The System One filter is 45 microns
can someone post a link to Finishline site with the Scavenger setup picture? Do you know how many Finish line sites there are
System one filter, 8 years running, never a single problem, clean it in the spring and have fun all year till it snows, best money I ever spent(Ithink) Bruce

:TU: Thanks.................. From HR and parts: NOTICE: As of May 23rd 2005, HRpartsNstuff will NO LONGER be offering/selling items from other manufacturers. As our orders for suspension components, mounts, and misc items we manufacture constantly increase, we continue to struggle to keep up with the demand even as we continue to grow. This decision was made to allow ALL of our time and efforts to go into our own (current and future) product line. This will allow us to continue to manufacture innovative products of the highest quality, while also getting new and exciting products into production much faster. need to go here...link
I bought Peterson filters for both my Bulldog headed and my STG3 engines but have not installed them yet.
