    Hello all,
I am new to the forum. Just purchased a 1968 gs400 and had an issue with the top not wanting to retract. It just happened so, I was wondering if anyone had this issue and what your thoughts were. Any help would be appreciated. Also, what rear seat belts would you put in.

Did you check the fluid level for the convertible pump? I'm also assuming your vert currently has no rear seatbelts? Easy to add lap belts once you remove the rear seat. On my '72 I already had rear lap belts with the keyhole design so I also installed rear shoulder belts into the rear seat frame to hook in and make a three point belt system.

thanks for the quick reply. I will check the fluid levels like you suggest. I will also want to install the should belts like you.

I had a similar problem when I first got my car. The top would just stop moving partway when putting it up or down. The car was used very little before I got it, so I lubed the !^&##$@ out of all the hinges in the top mechanism. That was over a year ago, and I haven't had any issue since. It could be something just that simple...
