Guys , please make sure you include your name and address when sending PayPal. I am shipping the first bunch tomorrow and some will be delayed because I don’t have an address. I hate to delay anyone. Even if you have bought things in the past I can’t always go back and find your address. It takes me a ton of time.

When you get them test fit them. Originals are about an inch shorter at the air cleaner end than the reproductions. If it kinks as it probably will cut a small amount at a time off at the air cleaner end only. Higher rise intakes may require the extra? If you need clamps try ACE hardware in the nut and bolt drawers. They are the biggest ones in the drawers. They are listed as one inch. The next ones down are too small. I can’t find enough to offer them. Stick something in the hose that you can put the clamp over before you squeeze it with pliers so it doesn’t fly off and hit you in the face. Wear safety glasses anyway.

I should be able to get a bunch stamped this weekend. Maybe even tonight. I have a ton of things on my plate the next couple of weeks so please bear with me. Early summer is always crazy then poof it’s gone.

Dave, When they put the hose on at the factory, did both ends come with a clamp? The one on the car did not have clamps and your repro's fit very tight. Both ends go into a barbed type nipple.

Brett, I did not need the pinch clamps. The hose fits nice and snug. I will put the pinch clamps on for originally sake if someone can confirm that they were there when shipped from the factory.

Both ends were clamped from the factory. Sometimes you have to trim those repro hoses for best fit, I'm not sure where he got them. Dave can fill you in on that info.

    Richie,

This is the original hose and clamps on mine.

Maybe Ace Hardware would be a good source if you need a couple?

Brett, I got a bunch a while back. I picked up a bunch of different sizes. I believe I have the correct size. A few other places to check if you have the following stores in your area is Tractor Supply and Runnings.

I gave that info in s thread above. Here goes again. If you need to trim it trim the air cleaner end. My originals are about 1/2” to an inch shorter. All factory set ups came with a black clamp at both ends. Put the clamps on and leave them. They will mark the hose permanently. Make sure you have a fresh valve cover grommet. When you take the air cleaner off pull the hose fitting right out of the air cleaner then you never have to touch the clamps. The size of the clamps is one inch. Get them in the drawers at ACE Hardware. They are the biggest ones. Don’t confuse them with the smaller 5/16” which are correct for bypass hose. You’ll never get those on. Compare the two to make sure they didn’t “jump” compartments in the little drawers. I have ended up with the wrong ones that way. To put them on stick something in the hose opening and like a rod and put the clamp over it before you use a pair of pliers to put it on the hose. If you don’t put something in that hose the clamp will fly across the garage or hit you in the face. You’ll see! Or not! Wear safety glasses. When you get the hose on use pliers to pull the clamps into position. If you don’t want to use clamps these hoses will probably never pop off. Just don’t expect to pass Duanne’s or my judging if I ever judge?
