That body style started in 73. For the most part ran until 87-88 with minor changes and up grades along the way

The "big 10" sticker on the side is the indicator on that particular truck. I'm aware of them in '77-79 for sure but they could have went a year or two either way. I don't remember seeing a "big 10" on the '81 "all new" truck

Very COOL thread!!! Love seeing original pictures like that! To me, having the story behind the vehicle is a good portion of the vehicles value.

Interesting. I did some googling on the big 10 and one site said it was available between 1975 and 1980. If that is in fact true, combined with the plate, the pic has to be from 75 which would make that a brand new truck.

Well, this is inspiring me to get the Ohio title history report on my car filed. Does anyone know if OH supplies names? I did speak w/the guy who owned my '70 Stage1 4-sp from '86 to '96 so that was pretty neat & I learned some of the car's history & I got one old picture. I'd left a message for him a a few years ago and one day last year he finally called me back.

The second owner was a guy named Greg Smith. I dont know if he was from Virginia or Maryland. But Im hot on his trail.

Mike texted me the other day and said he found something that hes going to give me when he comes up in the spring. I wonder what it is??

I know , its killing me! Maybe he found some original paperwork? Or the protecto plate. Or just some trinket off the car?

Funny, first question over text to me- "was it ever restored?"

I still have hope of ending up with the original paperwork & pop that was first offered up for my GSX.
I ran the Maryland DMV report for it.
