I am having a problem with my speedo on my 69 4 speed. I have the "L" shaped adaptor on the transmission to which the speedo cable attaches. I THINK my problem is that the adaptor is loose in the housing. The bolt holding the little metal piece that clamps the adaptor to the housing is tight. However, I can turn the adaptor freely when the bolt is tight. Is this normal? I'm thinking that because the adaptor is loose the speedo gear is not meshing correctly with the drive gear on the tail shaft. Any thoughts or suggestions???
    Thanks
