Frame pads mailed 01-09-09 airmail to Canada. As of today, MARCH 07,2009, I have not received payment after MULTIPLE claims that 'it was sent'. If you would like to defend SEAN, then please send WHAT HE OWES ($92) to me. Then, by all means, tell me how I should 'take it easy on him' and 'oh, there must be a good reason....'. I was nice enough to eat MOST of the shipping costs because he was a V8 member. Well, thanks to Sean, this will NOT happen again for ANY member here. Sorry to hear this George, happened to me the opposite way, sent a guy in Cali, 450 bones for wheels and shipping and then he disappeared, hard to believe a guy would burn you for 92 bucks, this guy was all over the board the last two months and I see he has now disappeared? Bill
I have no idea why you would eat your shipping costs, except for a sale listed as "shipping included". Shipping into Canada is not cheap. George, I truly hope Sean will re-surface and make things right. As much as you'd like to think V8 members are "better" than this, the truth is you have to cover your own butt.

I don't think the place where the buyer lives make any difference . Personally I never send an item before I get paid for (and cleared) and I never received anything before I pay (and clear) for , I'll never ask for that neither . I bought like 4 to 1 here with V8Buick than ebay . Most of these board members were living in different country than me and shipping price never was an issue . Excuse my english , hope you get it right ...
Donald, I don't think any comments here have been targeted at the fact that the buyer lives in Canada, it is simply a relevant fact of this specific transaction.
Right , I just wanna clarify I don't mean George meant that too . I allready made transaction with both of you (and many more V8Buick members) without any problems ! :TU: I agree that it does su** , George didn't deserve to be treated that way . Once you commited to buy you have to pay for the item or AT LEAST return it back if it is not correct/did not fit .
Donald- I simply posted his addy in case SEAN comes back to the board under an alias. If I receive payment, I will remove this thread. The money really isn't important. The LIES surrounding the transaction: 'I will be sending the money' 'the money has been sent' and so on.

Dave, I think its time to get the "Classifieds Rating" mod installed in the forum. I know its out there, similar site running the same software have it. As is thread like this end up deleted or burried which makes it easy for folks to continue down their path of iffy to bad deals. Been to many of them as of late, we need a new system to track who is trustworthy or not.

Did you guys ever consider the possibility of major health issues or otherwise? I looked him up and he hasn't been on the board since late January. I hope (for everyone'se sake) that he's fallen ill and will be back shortly! I do hate to see stories like this, though. You just never know the other side of the story.
I heard from him maybe a month ago, sounded like he was going through some bad times.....but I will not speak for him.......
So, I am an a**hole for posting my negative experience if the guy is laid up? For the record, yes, I have taken into consideration that Sean has taken ill. However, ALL IT TAKES IS AN EMAIL to get things straight. Friends, family, etc. Is it that hard? Even if I was on deaths door stop, I would have my wife, friends, etc make ANY transaction I have had 'up to snuff'. If it turns out to be a 'major health issue', I will certaily POST that AND take down this ad. The fact still remains.... over 2 months.... For the record- I have been hospitalized and i have HAD FRIENDS EMAIL PEOPLE I HAVE HAD DEALS WITH TO KEEP THEM UPDATED ON WHAT WAS GOING ON.

It is hard to say what really happened with Sean, he wanted some forged 350 rods and I was ordering some so I got a second set. I had them shipped to my buddies house and he asked if they were on the way to him... I said once you pay me I can have them sent out but he never paid so I never sent them. I really am not too sure though because he really did seem like a good guy, maybe something happened but it did not seem on the up and up to me.... The good news is I gave the rods to a member for X mas!
