Me at 16.. Mom passed on her baby to me. Then I bought my next Skylark at 17. Because Cragars SS's make everything awesome. The next transformation was a paint job and some other mods, aka 455 and 12 bolt. And now she looks like this.. My other Skylark will follow..
I picked up another Skylark in 2004. It already had a 455 swapped in. It didnt take long to start pulling it apart. lol Pretty much where i'm at with her now. It was supposed to go in for paint a few months ago.
Heres my 72 skylark before before and after the first build and the last pic with the gold hood is during its new transformation now, it was my first car i drove to highschool so thats why it was in the snow lol. It has been dubbed a few names by close friends and family. Those being and in no particular order are : the money pit, the pontoon and emperial star destroyer
In 1989 when I won bracket 2 at GS Nats….a film crew came over and started interviewing me with my SunCoupe. They asked what model GS it was and I said it was just a Skylark....and then they stopped filming. Pretty funny since they had just interviewed Scott Stern who had won Super 16....in a Regal.....not GS either.
