Well I am guessing we will not get an invite to do Chrome and Ice 2019. I sent in the forms and two pictures of the Buick.
I would think we would have heard some thing by now.

Got a phone call yesterday. Said they had some one drop out so there was now room for us. I told the guy no tanks, could even send a note to my e mail or ca quick call to say they were full up but were on a call list if some dropped out.

Nope not going to deal with that type of org. for a show like that a week before hand.

Sweet looking car Al. Probably looks better than it did when it was new in 85.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but if you were hoping to get in the show,
then mission accomplished. Could they have given your more notice? Maybe...
But if you were ready a week ago and anxious to go, what changed?
They thought they had all of their slots full then someone couldn't make it.
They then chose you and your car. Out of who knows how many others.
If they are like most other car shows I've been a part of, if you weren't chosen then you wouldn't have heard anything at all. They would notify the 50 or so winning entrants and the 300 or so not chosen would hear nothing.
Again, not trying to rile you up. I'm sure they gave you as much notice as they could.

I'm not riled up about it just not going to do it and probably not apply again.

Since I live on a gravel road and you just don't know what the road is going to be like I had a trailer lined up to haul thre Buick to the show with the cover on. But when I didn't get a rejection E mail or call I told the guy that owns the trail thanks but I am not going so don't need the trailer.

Yes I hope to have my own trailer soon. Need to sell a tractor first.

He in turn applied for a 10 day vacation for from the 8th to the 18th and several of them are going to the UP to snowmobile. They will use the trailer and load about 6 t0 8 sleds on it.
Wish I were going with them too.

We are getting geared up to start the spring shows in April. We also have to get the Buick up to the paint shop for the BSM warranty work as soon as it warms up and drys up.

I can totally relate to the gravel driveway, lived on one that's 9/10 of a mile long.
Takes a long time to creep a clean car in or out.

    Have a good one,
    Philip T.

Our drive way is 400' of gravel. Then there is 2 1/2 miles of grveal road.
