    Hey all local Buick owners,

On Sunday, September 14th, Trev Deeley, along with the Squamish Classic Car Club, will be sponsoring a motor cycle(only) run from Vancouver to Squamish, with registration beginning at 10:00 am for vehicle entries, and Harleys expected to arrive at the show area at 12:00.
The show and shine will be held in downtown Squamish, at the end of Cleveland Avenue. Cost for registration is $10, and a limited number of dash plaques will be available for those who'd like to buy one.
There will be 12 trophies awarded in 4 classes, and names will be drawn for door prizes. There will be music, and food available at the concession.
Please follow this link, if needed : http://www.trevdeeley.com/node/525
Any other information needed , please contact Steve @ 604-898-4177, or
    Fred @ 604-892-2386.

I will be helping at this event, and should have my GS at the show. Please respond to this thread, if you plan to come. The weather should be outstanding, and we expect about 100 Harleys, and 50 specialty cars to attend.

    Take care,

    Nando.

    Nando;
What time will the cars be setting up? So I assume that we take a left off the highway and head into Squamish for the show? I'm trying to talk the wife into coming up with the kids and make it a family run... we'll see how that goes! At any rate, if I come, I'll try and stay ahead of the bikes.

    Hi Doug and family,

Registration for vehicles begins @ 10:00 a.m., and you must turn left at the McDonalds' onto Cleveland Avenue to take you downtown. Go 2.5 blocks, and you'll find the show area near the end of Cleveland.

    See you soon,

    Nando.

    Hello all,

Wow, was the weather fantastic for this show and shine held in downtown Squamish this past Sunday! The sight and sound of a few hundred bikes rolling into town on Sunday afternoon, to participate in the show, was a thriller for the crowd. Besides the 75 specialty vehicles on display, there was plenty of nostalgia abounding, with a spectacular backdrop of mountains and clear skies.
Great to see Doug F. make the scenic drive in his beautiful '67 Electra convertible, to represent the Buick marque. This was the 1st time our local car club had partnered with the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) to put on this show. I can see this event becoming even larger, and better next year.
Doug, if possible, would you please post a few pictures you took of the show.

    Take care,

    Nando.

Hey Nando; The show was great and the run up to Squamish in the morning was fantastic... there was no protest from the Electra on the curvy sea to sky highway. Some real nice vintage iron there, only 2 buicks though. Here are some pics from the show. The first one shows diamond head in the background and the second is Electra with "the Chief" in the background, a climbers paradise! Hopefully this show grows in the next few years... it's a fantastic venue. Enjoy! :beer

    Hi Doug and all,

Thanks for posting the pictures on the forum. Wanna be the Buick events photographer for our local get-togethers? I knew you'd accept. Perhaps you, Harvey, and I can get together in a couple weeks. I'd sure like to check out the restoration on his 1967 GS400 convertible. If the GS is still insured, we'll get some GPS data from your new iPhone, to see how well these BFG Drag Radials hook up. After using them on a long trip to Falkland and back, I was amazed how road-worthy the BFGs were at speeds up to 100 mph on the #5. I just couldn't resist. While in Vernon, my best friend and I took a spin in Chris N.'s mildly-modified 1970 Stage 1. All I can say is ... hold on. Using the shoulder harness belts might be recommended! Bought a near-new pair of Hoosier slicks mounted on GN rims from him for $100.

    See you later,

    Nando.
