Stopped by the machine shop and talked to Mike this morning.
Had him measure a set of my rollers, .8424-.8426, so that's good there.
Showed him the vid of the seepage while running the pump, he said that's normal.
Showed him the flow to the rear, he said its good.
He also said I need Buick specific hyd. rollers as the Chevy style the oiling is all wrong, and sends WAY to much oil to the top starving the bottom.
Asked him about solids, he didn't recommend 'em for a driver that's going to idle at traffic lights, he said oiling can be an issue to the roller bearings on solids if street driven a lot.
So Im going to call TA Monday and see what they have for the 350 besides Morels as JW suggested.

Have you found any evidence to suggest the lifters are the source of your oil pressure problems? Maybe you could put a set of normal flat tappets in and recheck?

you would need to swap the camshaft to do that.......you cant run tappers on roller cam

Apparently the Morels are sized correctly, so that's not the source of pressure issues.
BUT, the Morels ARE a source of the lifter noise due to crap in 'em, so they're out, and Johnsons are going in, as soon as I find out/search my options for sourcing them.
My 10 psi hot idle pressure is still a bit of a mystery I haven't had any time to explore yet. Pressure shoots right up as soon as the throttle is blipped, soooooooooo_O

My filter is clean, so bottom end is good.
Im breaking down my issues one at a time, Im overlooking something, OR over thinking.
As JW said, sometimes look at whats right/good:cool:

Mic front cam jrnl, that you had welded up and ground down.

I would run my Morels again with no hesatation. They were quiet and smooth.
Just check roller wheel pin tightness.

The axle for the roller is held in place by a cir-clip. How did yours start coming out, was the cir-clip missing?

There is no cir-clip that I have seen. Possibly press fit or taper fit. Haven't closely examined them.

    Weird, mine have cir-clips.
Maybe Morel made running changes to their designo_O

Run the drill with the lifter in there at it's highest lift and lets see that. At lowest lift too maybe it is leaking out the bottom. You need a 1/2 inch drill my 3/8 drill gets hot and starts to smoke if ran too long. It is just too much for it. Put a camera on the pressure gauge so you can see how much pressure the drill is actually pushing at that time.

Go out there right now and put a spot light under the oil pan to warm up the oil early bird. lol

Why does it seem we have two different sets of lifters, aren't we suppose to have Morels?

That's part of the problem with today's parts. You can buy two of the same parts in the same looking box, but the parts inside are different. It depends on where the parts were made. Most manufactures now days just purchase parts where they can get them the cheapest and just rebox them or put their label on the box. It's called a global economy.
