Fixing to mount my Roll Control, where did you guys mount yours? Never used one before, just abused the rear brakes but figured it was time. Anybody hide them out of sight?

    Thanks Reynold, that helps.
Your avatar, I swear I have photos of that car from the World of Wheels in 82-83? at the Centroplex here in Baton Rouge.

Here's a picture of mine. I have to relocate the brake line that runs behind the crossmember. When I did the engine mock up, my headers were almost touching the line. I need to find another way to get it to the other side so the headers won't boil the brake fluid. Let me know if you run across those old pictures. I'd like to check 'em out. I plan to call the original owner when I'm done to see if he still has any.

Hey Reynold, am I looking at this wrong or do you have yours installed on the rear brakes?

do you run the rear brakes without a regulator?

i was trying to install mine but wasnt sure if i needed to install a regulator on just the front brakes (after roll control) or on both?

I have an adjustable proportioning valve mounted on the opposite side that goes to the back brakes. I haven't made the final adjustments as the motor/trans aren't in the car yet.

The picture looks that way but here's another picture. I'm in LaPlace right off I-10 before Kenner. At some point we'll probably cross paths again. I met you years back at Baton Rouge one night. I saw that damned blue Buick run and I stood up in the stands I was so impressed. I came down and met you in the pits. After that I said "I've got to have one of those Buicks!" So I finally found one and I'm on the way. "You've costed me thousands of dollars and hours messin' with this Buick...see what you started?"   I still see Kurt Frosch pretty often. He's getting his back to work on his this weekend.

    Reynold,
I will be back at State Capitol again this Sunday for Test and Tune. If you make it look for me. Talked to Kurt a couple weeks ago, I heard he was putting his stuff back together.

Yep. He had a major rod malfunction. Went completely thru the pan and ripped a large tear in the crossmember. He's had a lot on his plate but I think he's got the bug again.

It's a wilwood that I got thru Hot Rods USA on ebay. It was cheaper from them than anybody else. I may flip it and reroute the lines to make it cleaner looking.

What time are you going Sunday? I may make a special trip just to come see your car again. It's been quite awhile, plus it will inspire me to spend a few more thousand!:Brow:

I think the gates open at 10am. Working on the car today but barring any un-foreseen problems should be there around that time. If you PM me a phone number I can call you if something changes.

Hey Keith, I dont have a digital camera too show you how mine is but mine is hooked into the rear brake system. When i had it hooked into the front brakes i could never build enough pressure in the system to hold the car consistently in the box so my buddy Rich(coin operated) said to just install it into the rear brakes so when you hit the button your blocking fluid from going to the rear brakes and now you can apply as much pedal as you want and your only applying the front brakes. It works great and ive had it like that for atleast 10 yrs or so. Glad to see your getting your car back out there.

Keith-On my old 70 car,it was also hooked up so you hit the button and had NO rear brakes. This was the old GS/A car I bought in the mid 80's.It worked well and let all the pressure go to the front drum brakes. This was the way I had bought it. Hope this helps. Mike Nussell

On my Camaro we had two line locks installed

one on the front brakes for burnouts

and one on the rear brakes hooked to the trans brake relay, this made damn sure you didn't roll on engaging the Tbrake, when tripping the upper beams

Any other pics on their installation?
I bought the Hurst and the instructions shows using a splitter after the proportioning valve, do I need to do this? I figure I would plumb the solenoid in before the prop valve and that should do it.
