I was wondering if a roll bar would be necessary for my 1972 sun coupe to eliminate body flex, I have a built 383 but i't is street driven.

Has flex given you trouble at the track? If so, in what way?

Since we know the boxed frame can handle 510 ft*lbs pretty well, you should be ok with the small block unless the car is really hooking up.

Unless you start popping out glass, it shouldn't be a problem. Your 383 won't out torque a 455.

I don't think a Sun Coupe will be very deficient anyway.
