Yup, love the Molnars... back when I was building the 470's with Eagle rods, the larger rod end and slight stroke increase along with the standard 8740 ARP cap screw, required that we use a oil pan with more sump clearance up front.. I was happy to see the TA repro pan have that extra bump up front in it.. that cleared with the thicker gasket..

The molnars have a much more advanced rod big end design, which has taken a lot of the bulk, and weight, out of the rod big end.. not to mention lightened the rod 50 grams or so. This along with the streamlined bolt design, allows that stock oil pan to now fit again, with just the thicker Victor gasket. Nice, especially on resto jobs. And if you have a nice stock oil pan, are are building a nice mild motor, you can save the $169 and spend it elsewhere.

Simply can't say enough good things about Tom and his crew, and products. Working with him, you get all the experience he gleaned in nearly 30 years as the chief engineer at Oliver. He knows what it takes to make his products live, and what is eye candy, that sounds good in the catalog, and drives the price up.
