mrskylark1 ran an ad in V8 classified for some stuff and I bought a bumper and a brake kit from him. After a lot of emails, phone calls and photos ( he showed me the order from opgi for the brakes) we made a deal and I know better but I thought he was honest. He told me the stuff was shipped and I sent him money. Then he called me and said he didn't have the money to ship the stuff so I gave him the name and number of a friend on Long Island who would pick it up and ship it. He has not called and it's 3 weeks now. mrskylark1 is Anthony James and he lives on Jefferson Ave in Brooklyn,phone 201 640 1660. If anyone sees him on any site or ebay trying to sell Buick stuff please let me know. I've bought stuff from 8 or 9 guys on this site and allways had a great experence it's a shame to see someone with no honor or courage taking advantage of other people. Art

Sorry to hear this, Art. However, it IS standard procedure in a private sale to pay first, before a seller will ship, so I wouldn't say you made a "mistake" in paying when you did. Hopefully there are legit reasons why the parts haven't shipped yet.

You can also go to your local Police Department and start by filing a complaint against him there. Whatever you do, get the legal ball rolling and get this jerk!

Didn't have any problems with him although his prices were high so I have looked elsewhere for parts since using him.
mrskylark71 is on here and is the Conn guy with 330 posts. He is the same guy on team buick and with the craiglist add in meriden. I am pretty sure of it - been to his house to buy stuff mrskylark1 has 0 posts on here I don't think they are the same

This debate about who this person is brings up an interesting question. Why do we have people generally using "handles" and not their real names? At the very least shouldn't everyone be required to have a signature with their names? Why should anyone remain anonymous on a site that is basically people interacting with each other? I've never typed anything on here with shame or regret, but I always feel awkward responding to just a handle. I wish you good luck getting your parts. Incompetent or untrustworthy people are everywhere, but my guard would really go up when dealing with a party from that area. Generally the way a transaction plays out today, the seller must be counted upon to do the right thing. It always struck me as odd that a seller wouldn't accept a check in the mail for payment, when he will be holding both the goods and the money at one point.
Ive also had good dealings with Mrskylark71 from Connecticut. I just wanted to speak up because he is a good guy, fine to do business with. Your guy must be someone else - honest mistake. Sorry you got ripped off and I hope you get some relief from the perpetrator.
