Rhino lining top

Has anyone spray rhino liner on their top to replicate a vinyl top.
Currently my top is white I’m thinking about paint the entire car trumphet gold poly, I’m just thinking way outside the box. Any thoughts would be appreciated (good or bad)
I see type correction changed my lining to long in the title

 

Sprayed a 85 K5 blazer top with thinned Raptor lining few months ago,..looked great imo

3M makes a rocker panel coating.... I saw a vinyl top car at a DQ meet. Owner used the 3m RPC then painted it to his color of choice black of a sort... Looked Good..

 

I just went with Matt black to match the hood.

Whats the motivation? Seems like an odd move to me, TBH.

 

i saw hearse done like this. couldnt tell the difference until i was up next to it.

 

Hi there, yes I did this on my turbo car, see below. It worked great, I used rock guard with a gloss black paint to match the hood scoop:

id think id use satin however to give it the perfect look but yeah either way it looks great and like vinyl without the bs rust

 

yes my car was rust free except under the old vinyl there were a small rust spot that kept being a challenge to fix. This worked perfect and 4 years later there is no bubbling.

 

My car isn’t a vinyl top but I wanted it black, but liked the grained look vinyl and wanted to know if anyone had used bed liner to get the look without the issues of a vinyl top
