Reverse rod, rod # anyone?

Ok, having a hell of a time finding the correct reverse rod. I am not even 100% sure all the parts I have are for a Buick but think so. I called "Shifter Doc" and they said there are 7 different muncie reverse rods. If I had the numbers off the 2 rods I have, he could tell me which rod I need to order.... However, I can't find any numbers on the rods, just the letter "S" on both the 1,2 and 3,4 rods...

I think I have the correct Buick shifter mounting bracket. The Hurst Comp Plus shifter has been modified to accept the 5335 handle.
I have everything in the pictures....

I know you can buy the entire 3 rod bracket kit but it's gonna be $250+ delivered and all I need is a simple rod and some bushings....

Anyone know the correct rod number that would match my set up?

    Thanks

The first thing you probably need to tell us is the year of the car you are doing.

As I said in your other thread it looks like a 70-72 setup.

    Different years used different setups.

If you gave us a year, maybe someone could post a pic or measure what they have, to help you get what you need.

It will be a 70-72 GS or Skylark for sure. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row for when I find the car it's going in... thanks

It appears factory Hurst shifters have larger diameter rods. After market Hurst shifters use smaller diameter rods. The aftermarket ones have numbers. I am in the process of piecing together an aftermarket Hurst shifter, for a later 69 and up Muncie. Purchased a set of arms and need to purchase one rod to try to complete the set up. So far I have Reverse and 3.4 shift working.
