Guys and Gals, Many of you have shown intrest in having another Event. I have been thinking because all of the other events that happen during this time frame (August - BPG nationals, October - Ford Vs buick Noble, Ok and a few others). I thought it was time to make a decision and also get your input. Since Texas has this special attribute I.E. No Snow, We could have a late fall/Early Winter Event. Say the the first weekend in December. I will still need to make arangements. However I feel this would be a great oppurtunity to get everone together again without interfere of getting in the way of another buick event. Let me know what ya'll think. :beer
Cooler weather = faster cars. However, I have experienced serious traction problems at Temple on a 30-something degree November night (granted this was a test-n-tune and not a day event), so at some point, the coldness can be a negative. It could just as easily be 60* as 30* in central TX during November/December though. My vote is that it is a good idea (I dont guess Old's votes count though). Heck, Patton might even have his car finished by then  . Ben
I just got an Email from the track owner. He Stated that Dec 3rd will be set up as a Street meet and It will be the last saturday race for the year. :beer Ben, We do hold you accountable for driving the Olds instead of a Buick, but since you keep friends like Patton (However sometimes questionable also "It's an Olds thing") and I. I guess your vote On attendance is warranted as long as you bring your car....
Sounds like fun to me! I oughta have the 455 in by then, I can have a good comparison between SBB and BBB.
So, is Dec 3rd the proposed date? If nothing major blows up between now and then and I can keep myself from undertaking another project that turns into a 6 month affair, the Cutlass will definately be there. I think there are one or two of you out there I can take :Brow: . Uh oh, what did I just say??? Ben
Ben, it will be on December 3rd. As for beating a buick well at least you have high ambitions
Hey don't start this without us DFW boys! :Smarty: Remember we have the money
I guess that sounds good. At least that gives me plenty of time to get the posi unit in my car this time. No really I am gonna do it..... really.... I swear.
Just don't tell my wife how much drag radials, two 15" wheels, Eaton Posi Unit, and new ring and pinion gears cost...!!! o No: p
Dave, quit thinking about it, and just ink it in on your calendar!!! I'd LOVE to see your 350-powered ride! :TU: :beer
Dave has just left from Texas and now he is thinking about coming back..... Just move here Dave and get it over with..... Just forget the KDC - and Join the TDC (lol - Top Dead Center)
KDC??? Hmmm....Kansas Dead Center...Kansans Driving Crazily...Kansas Drunken Cats...Kansas Delta Chi... ???? o No:
I'm in, I prefer outdoor activities when it's cool out, not 103 degrees .......And it would give me additional time to work on my '72. (It still may not be in paint by then....) Harry
