    Hello Apollo restorers:

I would like to take the subframe off my 73 Apollo and have it blasted along with the control arms. When separating the subframe from the body tub, should the front clip (sheet metal) be removed first or can it remain attached to the subframe at the core support?

    Any tips or techniques?

    Thanks

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

I would remove it first. Less chance of any damage, paint or otherwise. You can leave all the sheet metal intact and remove the subframe. Just not as easy access to everything.

My son and I did a 74 Apollo GSX. We had it powder coated and painted. Take it all off to keep from saying" Why the ;#%^ didn't I take it apart".
