This was a easy swap. (Anything would be easy after the turbo V6) Used a blown up engine to mock up everthing while new engine was at machine shop. Combo includes, 75 455 block, .040 wisco forged pistons 11.5 to 1, balanced, T/A sportmans rods, T/A 290-08HL camshaft, T/A SP1 intake with 850 Demon card, Edelbrock alumn. heads, Crane 1.6 roller rockers, T/A 2" primary tube headers, MSD Distributor and 8.5 wires. 3" exhaust with X pipe and single chamber Flowmasters. It sounds GREAT!!! I hope its as fast as it sounds...LOL

What rear tires and rims do you run?

Rear tires are Mickey Thompson 28/10.50X15 on American Racing 15X8 wheels.
I posted a question a while back about radiator hoses. The hoses I ended up using are for the upper a 72 GS 455 and the lower is for a 71 GS 455. They fit perfect like they were made for this car. The upper hose on the radiator side was too big so I took the V6 hose and inserted about 2" of the old hose into the new one siliconed it in place and clamped it.

Cool, thanks Don. Is your frame stock? Do you remember what the offset was?

The back spacing on wheels is 3 1/2". American Racing didn't offer different backspacing. They are not like Centerline with a bunch of options. I think this is what you get if you order a 8" wheel from them. It does work out real well. I have another set of them for my street tires and the M/T 275/60X15 drag radials fit good wth those wheels. The frame is stock, maybe some day I will notch it so I can put the slicks on a 10" wheel.

Heres the motivational picture (in my signiture) for my build, my son designed the paint scheme and a member of the turbo board brought it to life. We love it..
