Looked like rain and the weather teller was saying pop showers for much of Michigan but mostly above a ine from Bay City to Mt Plesant Mi.

When we left our house it was overcast but the skys were not dark. Reese is in the Thumb nearly an hour from where we live. We were about 15 minutes from the Park where the show is put on when it started sprinkling. By the time we drove in the drive and was told to park any place we wanted other than between the white lines to started coming down really hard.

I got parked next to this Model A and Jumped out to help the fellow who owns it cover the roof. said it will some times leak in a hard rain where the cow hide meets the metal. Yes looks sunny it did clear off about 10:30. I had been wanting to talk to him about his etched wing windows. He told me it was a option when the car was new and he had questions him self. How did Ford etch them, Acid dip or sand blast?

I had talked to this guy a bit before they got started drying his car off. It is a beauty and he is proud of it.

Have seen this PU at several shows for thre last two years. his father in law and he have built 2 of them this blue one (HIS) and a red one with a stake rack (wifes) who didn't want to bring it.
Spent a good bit of time talking to him as he said he was thinking about selling it to get some thing that didn't ride so r0ugh and could go to shows farther away.

I like this street rod but after cleaning bugs off the front of our Buick I question the white front. Maybe why he has covers on the fenders.

In Oct. 1965 I ordered a baby brother to this one a Cornet 440, 3 weeks later I got my draft notice. Soon to be in the land of water buffalos and bicyles.

So every time I see this body style I drool.

I spent a really long time talking to this Willys owner. I have seen it at several shows and have amired it. My intrest stems from my brother haveing a 1940 Willys Jeep with a glass body and 289 Ford power.

This is Barney I was told. When he brought it home and lifted the hood his young daughter said it had a bit mouth just like Barney. So he painted it purple and calls it barney.

Owner of this Willys said he saw it in a fence row when makeing a rual delivery. Stopped at the nearest house and asked about it. Was told it blonged to the house nearly a 1/4 mile down the road. Stoped in there and got permission to go look at it. Bought it a week later.
