I don't believe it is insured. That would likely have doubled the freight cost I think.

It says it is moving West, so I'm ok now.

Sadly Fastenal isn't doing it yet. It's UPS Freight.

No worries... I have been shipping motors across the USA, to Alaska and Hawaii, and to Europe for 20 years now.. IN all that time, and well over 100 shipments, only one motor ever got slightly damaged.. and that is the only one that I used the customer's crate and tie down system.. and even that was nothing, a scuffed valve cover and broken distrib cap.

The issue with Jon's was by the time I got the crate built, and the trailer loaded, and it move 70 miles, it was 11PM, not am... and the night crew was not as experienced with the customer drop off process.

And Briz, obviously it was too late to stop and check on your 'hawk machining that night, and later that night an ice storm rolled in, which is just wrapping up now.. I will get over there on Monday to see what's up with it. I will be surprised if I don't have it back in the shop next week. Then we can size it all up, get your new KB billet crank turned down to size, and get'r done.

Now, back to that six speed install on a gs convert... ahhhhhh... why do I take these projects?... oh yea, the 20K EFI/DIS 482 he bought from me buttered me up... and the fact the guy brought it here from Juno Alaska... he's definitely got the long distance award.

OH, look at that, just about midnight on a Saturday night, I suppose I should go sleep for a few hours..

    Yup, livin' the dream...
