    Hello Everyone.
Recently, I purchased a '72 Skylark. It's a bit rough around the edges, but has potential.
I'm looking to decode the trim tag. I have tried Google, but seem to come up short aside from finding out the paint color and vinyl top color.

I know it was originally Hunter Green. Removing the sills verified this. I think it once had a Convert colored top, but was removed and the whole car was repainted Red some time ago.

The dash and headliner are Black. Carpet was Red. Door panels are a combination of Black and woodgrain.

First photo was taken by the previous owner before he decided to start removing paint.
Second photo is its current state.

Any other info from the trim tag would be great to know.

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome from Florida!

Looks like a fun project with a lot of potential. I'm no much help with the trim tag, but I'm sure someone who is will chime in very soon.

I'll be sure to pass that link along, thank you.

Regarding build sheets for early Skylarks, could they be found in similar locations as Chevelles of the same years?

Sounds like this would have been a sharp looking car when it left the factory.

You can find them behind the door panels as well, but after this amount of time they have usually been off a couple times. Too bad not still in Calgary...

Yeah, a previous owner cut holes for speakers, so I'll assume one won't be there. I have to take the panels off to repair the speaker damage.
