    1972Mach1 Just some M.M.O.G. guy.....

He's going to need receipts or some proof of it being rebuilt since he didn't own the truck when it was done. Then it would just depend on what was done, how dressed up it is, what the engine was built to be, if it's single or dual carb, etc. etc. etc......

By 2 speed do you mean a dynaflow transmission?

  4. If he is just going to dump it a Grand is a good deal . My last two 401 Nailhead’s cost me a $1,000 ea. after sitting around inside for many years. Two different sellers , no Carb. , Alt. , ect. or paper . The first one came with a Dynaflow and I gave it to a friend as I like three pedals.
If he wants more money that’s when papers and accessories come in. Just my 2 cents.

If he is going to sell locally and the engine runs and truck drives, he might want to keep it together and state the time before he pulls it to have potential buyer check it out in running condition.

Anything undocumented and not able to be run is a "core" to most anyone.

He may have gold, or he may have scrap.

I passed your number on. I got the impression engine was just sitting in the truck not connected

If it's not in condition where you can hear it run and/or he doesn't have the slips for the parts and a work order stating what was done, it's a core. In other words - what Lucas said.
