Hey guys i am looking to rebuild a 4150 DP i have here. its a 750 Cfm i had it set up for Boost so it has a boost referenced BV and .150 Alcohol Needle adn seats.+ 50 acc pumps i was wondering what i can keep obviously i change the Power valve, i want to run this carb on a stock 455 so what PV size do you recommend? i only have 1x PV also Jetting what size do you recommend to start with ?
Take a vacuum reading at idle in gear, fully warm obviously. Then divide that in half, and that is the PV you run. As far as jetting, I would look up the stock jetting and start there. http://www.blp.com/help-center2/305-holley-classic-double-pumper-specifications
Call Allstate Carburetor…..they have all the Holley parts and kits you’ll need. I purchased 2 kits from them, great service and product. Claims they use Holley components
This guy has lots of Holley stuff..... https://www.ebay.com/str/rpmperform...uid=SEcNVg3TRSm&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
First , confirm what you have . Standard 750DP should have "4779" dash something and a date code on front of the choke tower . Power valve probably a 6.5 but the vac reading way will get you closer to what you need . I'll check Holley specs when I get to shop . Also , check metering block numbers . They're the brains of the operation . --------------------------- Edit : my spec book/catalog is older but goes up to -9 carb . Needle and seats - #504 (.110) Front jets - 70-71 depending on series Rear jets - 80 Power valve - 6.5 (8.5 on early versions) Front nozzle - 28 Rear nozzle - 31 30cc pumps front and rear Early versions are 2 corner idle , -3 and newer are 4 corner idle . Body , base and rear metering block have to match to be 4 corner .
