I need help troubleshooting a noise issue coming from my Rear End. I have a 1970 Skylark that is making a noise that sounds like unbalanced tires. I just took the tires in and got them re-balanced all four. I also added some gear oil to the rear end because it was low. I also have already checked the axle and there is no movement/slop in it. Although I have done these things, the noise is still there. Would anyone know what could be causing that? Thanks!!

You'll have to be a little more specific with your description. Is it when your on the gas or when you coasting? The tires themselves, balanced or not can cause a road noise.

It is both when coasting and while on the gas

I would try a different set of tires first. Or at the very least swap tires front to back and see if the noise goes away or changes.
