I have been thinking of doing a rear disc brake swap on the wagon using the S-10 Disc set up. I can get just about everything new.

My question is, do I have to swap master cylinders to one for disc brakes? What size piston would I need. Are most masters have the same mounting size? I am thinking of maybe one from the S10?

    Thanks,

    Tim

The simple answer is yes, you must switch to one made for 4 wheel disc brakes. Most GM Masters will bolt up to a GM booster from that time period, I think. Corvettes had 4 wheel discs for example. You could go with an aftermarket like Baer. They have master cylinders designed for this. Baer also has a chart showing the different types of master cylinders and what size piston you need for your application. Worth a read if you are pondering it.
