Hopefully the driver pulls through and recovers.

First thing that popped to my mind watching it was this classic.

Too bad they didn’t stick the landing.

I assume the car driving next to the jumper didn't get hit, but it sure looks like it was really close. You'd think they would stop when they were clear.

CBS ran that video this morning. I'll bet the tow truck will be out of service for a while.

The driver’s shorts will be, that’s for sure.

Looks like tow truck in passing lane with no cones or floggers to move traffic into other lane. Wonder who they will consider who’s at fault.

Flashing emergency lights on the rollback, supposedly cones and markers behind that, multiple flashing patrol vehicles on the other side, and she hit that ramp at 60 plus. Georgia has a ‘move over/slow down’ law; seems she didn’t heed it. With modern police lights and a highway like that, I really doubt she wasn’t able to see that something was happening; just figured it didn’t apply to her.

...if rollback hadn't been deployed, driver likely would've been decapitated...

I hadn’t thought of that; she would have rear ended the truck at 60 plus and pushed it into and over the truck’s driver.

I agree she should have seen that big truck and all the hubub ahead. I would guess she was distracted, texting or something.

I heard only once that it was called a Dukes of Hazard move. It only takes one second of not paying attention.

He has the ramp deployed like he’s going to load or unload a car, where is the vehicle that he was about to load or just unloaded?

You can barely see it at the beginning; it’s in the median on its side.

This happened somewhat close to me north of Tallahassee. I saw it on the local morning news just after it happened. and ya, dukes of hazzard was my first thought.

Oh no doubt it would have been a mess,..the wheel lift and ground bar may have stopped it just in time but at that speed idk,.. probably not

As they like to say, it isn’t the fall that kills you, it’s the sudden stop at the end. Despite the quite impressive theatrical aerial display, the car had time to shed energy along the way. If the ramp wasn’t down?
