Some of you may remember, I parted out this 65 GS over a year ago and had planned on using this chassis for my 65 GS vert project....lookin like I may not ever need it now. SO, here it is... I dont have any updated fotos but the chassis is a roller (rolling tires only WITHOUT dogdish caps however!) with front and rear suspension...OPEN rear. Brake and fuel lines etc. Straight and SOLID SOLID BOXED chassis! (Thats why I held onto it all this time) $750 come and get it. Wheelz, Tampa Bay

Are the seats going with it? Are they too far gone?

GARY....transportation may NOT be a problem..I know George N is going to Ohio for the BPG event first week in August. He lives blocks from me. I have asked him to consider trailering this chassis up for me and what he would charge. .. He'll get back to me on that one.
JOE....the seats you see were shot-to-heck...and are now in some scrap metal place in east china soon-to-be a left replacement front fender for an 88 yugo......HOWEVER..I do have another set of 65 seats from another car I parted 8-9 years ago. I believe they are good starting place, but will need springs, foams, and rebuilding. I have pix for you, BUT, they are from my old camera and the resolution is too high to send in this site.....and I dont have photo pixel reduction software sooo...Email me direct at PenWheelz2@ij.net and I'll forward some to you!

GARY: George just dropped off my trailer and we spoke on this subject briefly. He tells me, after Ohio event, he and his dad are going on to Chicago to visit his brother/son for a week or so, and then drive back to Florida. He doesnt really want to haul a trailer all over the USA. SOO, this kinda leads into another possible scenario. IF..I say "IF"...you would consider securing a ONE WAY U-HAUL from Tampa Bay (zip 33776), George MAY consider hauling the chassis/Uhaul trailer to Ohio where you could meet him, take the trailer/chassis back to your home, and drop the trailer off wherever UHaul may be in your area....! You DO have uhaul, right? If not, what DO you have acccess to as far as ONE WAY trailer??? If you dont have Uhaul up there..think on this::Smarty: How about you setup a Uhaul trailer deal from Tampa Bay to Columbus Ohio, then YOU bring a trailer from Ontario and swap the chassis onto your trailer, and return the Uhaul somewhere in Columbus...whew!!. My brain hurts now. It might not seem like it, but Please understand, I am only trying to keep this deal as UNcomplicated as possible for everyone involved. :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay

Gary..NO, you're NOT buggin us...We are trying to put together a delivery package which includes your chassis and another chassis for Jeff in Port Charlotte. I was outa town Monday but will get with these guys in the next days to make plans. It look like it MAY come together for all of us...however, before committing totally, I will organize this thing from 'concept to delivery' and promise to keep you informed.:TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay

Gary.....NOW I'm makin progress! Here we go.....Jeff has indeed sold and DELIVERED his chassis to Cleveland..,YEA, AND JUST last week! arrRGHH! Anyway, George is still planning on making the Ohio BPG event the last week of July, so we are kinda back to square one. HOWEVER a little twist.. I've been hashing this around...Since I COULD put a nicer set of rear wheels/tires on the chassis there is a cheaper opportunity for you to rent a Uhaul TOW DOLLY!!! MUCH less than aluminum Uhaul trailer rental. I have a decent set of rollers tires that I could put on the rear, for the journey...BUT UNDERSTAND I MUST GET THEM BACK!!! so you will need to bring a set of rear tires for the rest of your journey!!! Now, IF THIS is a possibilty, I will ask George to give you a price for his time/additional (should be minimal) expenses to get it to you. ITS now all about YOU Gary!!!...So PLEASE look into the "TOW DOLLY THEORY" and get back to us asap. :beer Wheelz, Tampa Bay

Let me know when you get a price from him for his efforts.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Wheelz,

You won't believe this....I went through the online U-Haul quote forms and look at what it says i'll have to pay $$$$$$$$$$$$.....pic attached.

It must be because it's a one way and probably the distance is a factor.

Guess i'm back to square one. That was a great idea though. There has to be some way to get this up here without too much cost.

At least we have a bit of time to try a few more ideas....

    Cheers bud,
    Gary

    Hi again Wheelz,

Just so you know, returning the dolly back to the same location would be $39.95 per day according to the U-Haul quote system.

wow..thats nutzo! Well, I'll chat with George but I'm fairly sure he wont really want to tow a dolly all the way back to Florida, especially thru Chicago area!.....but never hurts to ask. Besides, someone up at Ohio might need a car towed back to somewhere along the route?!?!?... HEY, who knows. Perhaps we can all add ideas about other transport options?? ... Maybe I'll talk to Jeff to see what transport company his buyer used from here to cleveland??? :Do No: :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
