Going to pull the hood on my 67. I plan to put a blanket between the hood and the windshield, have a person on each side, mark the hinge with paint, remove the forward bolts first. Have I got it right?

Yes right hand on corner of hood,...right shoulder under hood lip

I drilled one hole into each hood hinge & hood, with a small bit. Then when I reinstalled the hood, i used that drill bit to align hood & hinge.

I was about to type that old trick myself, it works really well! [IMG]

Thought about doing that too but I plan to pull fenders, so decided to just paint the boundary. I'm sure I will never get the fenders back on close enough to the original position to make use of that trick!

That's how I do it. I usually tape a big piece of cardboard over the windshield/cowl.

Much as I love new tools, a picker for one time use seems excessive even for me. Maybe I need to do more cars!

Thats what I thought to myself when I bought it , but for under 200$ and after using it the one time, didnt regret it. Have used it 3-4 times now.
