Just put in some racing gas, you are at the track. Octane boost is useless. You get more bang for the buck with leaded race gas.

That is a better way to go but r track has no fuel on site its just the front stretch of our circle track with a shutdown added. Im not a fan of a jug of c12 in the car with me slicks and tools take up the trunk.

It's just that octane boost is such a rip off. It raises the octane in points (read 1/10's). Mix in one gallon of race fuel and you do way better.

Thanks for the comments, Steve. I also like the shape of the Wiseco crown.

To answer your question about head gaskets, I like to run them as thin as possible for the sake of maximizing quench. Sometimes you shouldn't do this, such as when running aluminum rods with a zero deck. Even running the pistons loose with a zero deck can allow the edges of the crown to get close to the head.

Fel Pro, Cometic and the TA Performance "orange crush" are all well spoken of for the BBB. The Cometics come in thicknesses from 0.27" all the way to 0.120"

If the block is o-ringed you can run copper also. Thicknesses there are 0.32"-0.62" at www.gesslerheadporting.com .
