Looks like too many numbers. You need seven to decode. With those first 7 it decodes as a 1971 Buick with auto transmission. And the 0881 means produced on 88th day of 71.

Check Cliff Ruggles site here http://www.cliffshighperformance.com/tech_carb_ID_2.html for decoding info. He sells a good book to help you work on and modify about any Q-jet you want to. Well worth the investment.

7041540 is a good carb. Original for 71 Buick 455 and is 800 cfm. Like mentioned above, there are you good sources for parts and advice if you want to build it yourself.

To determine any alterations to the carb, we would need to know some engine specifics. For stock 455 you have what you need.
