I thought I remembered it being an auto. I think had it been a 4-sp. it would've sold @ $100k. Personally, I'd have preferred the no A/C version. If A/C, I think I'd want one w/all the options but even as an auto, I think $100k isn't unreasonable assuming truth in advertising.
It's a real production GSX (one of 678) that can be driven and enjoyed while an owner is temporarily borrowing it just like everyone else's Buick while their still breathing here on earth. That's what its all about, IMHO!
Interesting sales strategy, listed it for $100k with no reserve and no one bid, so now it’s relisted for $140k obo.
Definitely an interesting strategy. Now, after offering $90k & getting it for $100k, one could really feel like they worked the seller hard & got a deal, lol. $90-$100k is probably the right current/recent (?) price. We'll see what the market does coming up. We may be in for a(nother) wild ride. Certainly one I'd love to own.
Thats a Thats a definite Steve, my 69GS is all original and there are many imperfections from the factory. If a car came back from a restorer with the same issues, owners would be taking it back.
cant seem to see build date on cowl? got a few questions. does anybody personally know that the engine is original. any mention of the casting date on engine. does the engine stamp look legit to you Buick experts? thanks charlie,
I am definitely NOT an expert, but the block appears to have the S S stamp which I believe is correct. Also the seller knows enough to show the distributor and carb #’s which to me is a good sign.
I looked at this car at the nationals when Fred bought it. I’m pretty sure it’s the numbers block…having trouble remembering. But I was impressed with the originality of it.
I spoke with the seller a couple of months ago. He is well versed on these cars (has owned many of them) and he represented the car as being all original.
Is it just me or is anyone else surprised this GSX has not sold ? Seems like the man is willing to deal and I would think being a Stage 1 numbers car it would have been scooped up by now. Is the value off ?
is this not the ONE and only top dog buick hot rod? seems like a really, really nice driver! someone needs to step up.
too GSXER, all those buicks in your sig listed. are they buicks you have owned and sold over the years. or do you own them all? maybe a bucket list? i gotta know! charlie
