I used to subscribe to one of the ‘Kustom’ magazines and that crap used to make my blood boil. Cubic cash spent on beautiful paint, metalwork, interior etc. on a Cadillac, Buick, Pontiac or Olds and then put an Autozone or U-Haul truck crate engine in it. Patrick
Yes the 401 original to that car is and can be a work of art by itself. Maybe add a more modern rear suspension and overdrive transmission (manual or automatic) and this would be a great tribute car with modern day performance and utility. Cheryl
Joe and I texted back and forth about this car a while ago (2-3 years) when we saw it on CL. I don't like the engine choice, either, but man that thing is bad to the bone. I'd trick out another Nailhead like I did for my Riv and swap it in. Car was about 20k less a couple years ago, if I would not have had my Riviera at the time this might be living in my garage out of the weather right now.
