Pros and cons of TA Stage 1SE heads versus Stage 2SE

    I did end up buying Stage 2 SE heads. They have been cnc’d by Scott Brown. TA Headers -2 inch for an AC car. As far as fitment, I’m assembling my 470 short block now, we will see when I take her off the road for the engine swap. 18 months ago, TA actually had stage 2 heads. Still no roller cams, so the 290-08HL flat tappet is in the block.

    Good to hear. You will be fine with the 2” headers I’m sure. I know 2 1/8 or 1/4 is preferred but you will fly regardless.

    What size are the exhaust ports ?

    The exhaust ports are slightly less than the Id of the 2 inch headers.

    That’s perfect for a nice street hydraulic camshaft combo. I’ve read some real interesting Calvin Elston articles on headers. Keep that velocity moving and help Thru the power band. Help keep the torque up to get that car moving. Very cool.
