Considering the potential of the engine, you might have to wear Depends no matter what your age is :)

    David G de-modded....

I doubt that Bobb is able to answer your questions. May as well go to the source, Jim B or Dick B.

Just curious Jeff, do you have one ordered yourself?

Hell i got to tell you guys that 540 chevy motor is nice and fast.

I sure would like to see a buick motor set up like that.
If the bulldog does not hurry up it might be a 540 calling my name. :beer

Dropped my BBC 509 in last year. Used piece. Parted out my broken BBB for over $5K. Paid $7K for a intake-to-pan Merlin II block, Dart 325 heads. Eagle crank, etc. etc. Kept everything else on my combo the same. 3750lbs with driver. 4:11 gear. Should probably be a 4:56. Torque converter the same. Only 6500 through the traps. Should have been 7000 or so...

Results = 10.03 @ 134 MPH with more in it.

New plans for 2007 will have the motor get freshend and chassis updated to be 8.50 legal. Still staying with a 10 inch tire.

Why am I posting here? Because if the friggin new block was ready as promised, people like me would likely go back. Until then, it's the same dozen people (maybe two dozen?) actually running 10s and better, while the rest sit out. Do I have money down on a block? Hell no. I'm a racer with a family and I have to beg, borrow, and hustle to keep what I have going. I can't have a deposit sit for years not collecting interest. As it sits now, the earliest I would be back Buick powered is now 2008.

    What a shame.

Chassis progress and pics will be posted here: http://www.pakmanmotorsports.net/inthenews.html

As you can probably surmise from the link, I'm still having a blast picking on the Mustangs and I'm also getting some good seat time. So watch out Gary, Bob, Doug, Perry, Jeff, Todd, Rod, Kevin, and John. I'm coming after you, Buick powered or not. :3gears:  :beer

    Well put!

John, as you might know I don't care much for the chebby thing let alone it being in a buick BUT as a racer I understand and respect what you've done to get out there. This bull.....dog thing is just a BIG smack in the face to all buick racers not just the ones that laid out money, but don't forget there in the mail  Hope to see ya cross back from the dark side soon  Chris

This Bulldog block thing is an absolute outrage. I would really love to see these guys getting what they paid for years ago. I really wanted one myself, but I don't think I would give that joker another dime of my money... I just can't beleive they are still not out. Bulldog Performance, what a let down.... :( TA, I wish you the best of luck! Good luck guys.
