My mom has been battling with stage 4 colon cancer for about 14.5 months now...It has spread to her lungs (for 7 months now) 4 small tumors that we have been maintaining with Chemo 4 times a week (until 2 months ago as she was responding well so they actually shrunk)..So the Dr said we were just going to monitor them every 3 months (as the chemo could do more harm than good)..We went in and got the routine exam and the Dr said all was still well..Then 2 weeks later she felt dizzy and out of it so we went in and now they say it has spread to her brain (4 small lesions)..I'm not sure how this Dr can tell us all is well and what was the point of so-called monitoring if you were just letting it spread..So now they have began 10 sessions of radiation on her brain and asked if we want to know a date of life expectancy (of course we declined that as God knows more than they)..They say she will not be cured but we are just prolonging her life..I am desperate and have read about benefits from medical marijuana (she isn't with this idea at all)..None of our family has ever indulged with marijuana (although I have had friends that have)..My mother is the strongest person I know and is giving it all she has..From looking at her and talking with her, you would believe she was fine..So I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge of medical marijuana having any true benefits (her appetite is fine)..Prayers are always welcome, but knowledge about the medical marijuana or any good advice or experience is truly appreciated..I've found myself very angry with her Dr's and Kaiser hospital just seems like the Costco of hospitals..Thanks in advance to all and God Bless
Sorry to hear about your mom,best wishes for her.
