I don't know, and the friend who built the engine doesn't know. It was a spare that came out of a '69 Stage 1 convertible, but it wasn't the original to the Stage car. The previous owner of the Stage car had the engine rebuilt and the shop changed cams, so the best guess is a Sealed Power or similar stockish replacement.

Your ET seems really good for your combo. A very nice budget build. I can see how you wouldn't want to change it. I was hoping you had cam info as I'm real curious to see what's going on.

What do you have for a torque converter?

I asked Bryan Woodworth (Bryan&PhyllisW) because I didn't remember. It's a generic stock replacement he bought at Advance in Bowling Green when the B&M took a BM and started slipping. It was swapped in the pits at Beech Bend. No rocket surgery.

Rob your set-up and mine is exactly the same. Everything but the Gessler heads. Mine factory Stage1. And I know I'm not Quick as you. Not close. Don't get it.

Robb Ross what I was saying. I have the same cam. Same Motor work and the same
ATI tree master and 3:73. With the exception of all the flow work. That must be the Game changer. The flow.

Although I don't know exactly what the head work is worth, it is something. One thing that I've learned over the years is that its tough to compare performance of different cars from different tracks with different weather conditions. Are you also running a Stinger? Who did your carb? What track did you run at and what is your combo (I didn't see it in this thread)?

Yes Stinger. Osborne Q-jet. Never ran the car . Low miles on new Motor , fully rebuilt Tranny. Been driving the car for a year only on Sundays . Here and there. Thought the car would be scary. (Faster) or Quicker. But then been afraid to hammer it also. Once oil pressure gauge in and tach installed I'm gonna really pound it. Just glad I saw your thread . I cars are twins. Except for the work Gregg did.

I wanted all the flow work done. But never did it. Regrets. But where does it end.

I don't know. Maybe engine , Tranny and newly rebuilt 12 bolt new gears new bearings. Car tight. When do you expect the car will get loose. Or doesn't it matter.

Not enough data to really say how it should run. The cams are similar in duration however, your LSA is much tighter than mine. As a result, I have/had 3.5* of overlap, you have 11. I think the overlap is a tad too high for exhaust manifolds but haven't tested it. I run much less than that. I recently changed my cam so I will re-evaluation soon, the new one is only 6*. What is your static compression ratio? Also you need to run the car at the drag strip once you get an oil pressure gauge.

Another thing I've realized is that what you think someone else has a better running car that you really need to be at the same track on the same day to truly evaluate performance.
