Posi stolen from my 73 Riviera :(( , need carrier & gears. think 71-76 fit.

Hi, here looking for parts,
my car was in storage at a friends place and at some point some stuff got stolen,
i mainly need the posi and rear sway bar...
the rear differential parts for my Riv is hard to find locally,
1973 Buick Riviera, need 9 3/8" posi & gears.
so i need help!

And where are you located?
When you are in Europe, I know about a complete rear axle with a limited slip differential for sale in the Netherlands :TU:

If anything, get a rear assembly from another big Buick and swap it instead of junking your car unless someone can come up with the 3.23 posi gear set you need.

 

I have a 9 3/8 2.73 posi out of a '75 Electra available.

 

Hi, Well i still need these parts, the guys who had some forgot to get back to me after the cars were not under snow, and I didn;t want to keep buggin them...
Now I really need to get my car drive-able again, really sucks not being able to drive it.
Who has a posi gear set for the 9 3/8" i think the same on most 71-76 big buicks with that rear.
looking for a rear sway bar too, i think all the big GM cars 71-76.

I guess no one can help here, so i may put a truck rear in it by cutting off my mounts and welding them on to the truck rear, I really hate to screw up a very rare car 1 of 1248 Stage-1 Rivs made. But better to make it drivable than not. I'll try to hold of a while longer.

 

You may want to check with Hector (he goes by CARHEX1

) here on the board..He is in So Cal too and a great guy to deal with...He parts a lot of cars out.

It can't be that hard to find a rear end for that car where your at. I always look at Craig's list for CA and there are always cars being parted.

If your trying to spend little or no money then it may be difficult to find.

 

Let me know if you're possibly interested in 2.93 rear gears and a posi?

I may have a set but i have to take a look.
